Becoming All Natural
When we first had Aiden, we knew we wanted to breastfeed, make homemade babyfood, use sweet smelling Johnson's and Johnson's lotions, and use disposable diapers for convenience and money saving. I feel lately like I am turning into a natural mother! We were successfully able to breastfeed and are continuing to do so. We have made our own babyfood and have been successful so far. Because of Aiden's sensitive skin, we have had to switch to Dove soap and Eucerin lotion. I am looking into switching to Burt's Bees all natural shampoo and soaps now though. And, the biggest change of events is that we have transitioned to CLOTH DIAPERS!!!!! I absolutely never thought I would be saying this! According to studies, an average family will spend $2,000-3,000 on disposable diapers per child! After buying each of the items needed for cloth diapering, we are still well under $400! And, we'll be able to use those for each of our children. I know that I always was trying to make the best choices for Aiden and for our budget, but it does feel so weird to be a totally all natural family.
Aiden's version of talking at almost 5 months
Recording this has made me realize how quickly time is flying and how very few videos I have of my sweet child! I need to start taking more videos and pictures before he is completely grown up.

5 YEARS!!!!
Andy and I are celebrating 5 years together today! We are going to dinner at McCormicks and Schmicks. Hopefully it is yummy! It just amazes me that 5 years can go by so fast and everything that can happen in that time! I have the best hubby and baby in the world!

Totally worth it!
We saw "The Hangover" today at the crybaby matinee. So much fun! The best part was when Aiden started crying, it was ok since there were other crying babies! I would totally recommend crybaby matinees for anyone with a baby!

Crybaby matinee
So tomorrow I am going to see a movie with Aiden and a bunch of other mommies and babies. It should be an interesting experience. I didn't even know such things existed! We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Stay tuned for an update...

2 months!
So, our baby boy is 2 months old! It is absolutely amazing how quickly time flies! He is finally sleeping consistely 5 1/2 hours a night! A couple times he even slept over 7 hours in one single stretch at night!
We are starting to see a bit of his personality lately. He smiles and giggles at things he finds interesting! It is the best feeling in the world when he smiles and you know it is for you!
On Monday, we had to take him to his doctor's appointment for his two month checkup and shots. Our little guy weighs 14 pounds and 1 ounce which puts him in the 97th percentile! So, I guess he isn't so little! The hardest part of the doctor visit was his 3 shots that he had to get! So painful to watch.

First Day Home
So, we brought home our little boy, Aiden, on May 7th. He is now two weeks old! Time is starting to fly already! I can't believe how much bigger he is already in just two weeks!
